Doctor of Physical Therapy

Dr. Justine Cabanting received his Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from Utica University, New York. He completed his B.S. in Physical Therapy from the Far Eastern University – Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation, Philippines. He has been a licensed Physical Therapist since 2017.

Dr. Justine enjoys treating orthopedic and sports injuries and is passionate about helping people get active. He strives to practice holistic patient care, utilizing manual therapy techniques along with exercises to improve patient health and well-being. His treatments include deep muscle stimulator (DMS), active release technique (ART), soft tissue mobilizations, joint mobilizations, electrical stimulation, Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF), TMJ intra-oral treatment, Kinesio (KT) taping, manual lymphatic drainage (MLD), and lymphatic compression pump therapy. He also uses video feedback gait analysis to assess runners and provide appropriate programs for them.

Dr. Justine ensures the implementation of personalized exercise programs for each patient, including those recovering from sports-related injuries, and guides patients through post-surgical rehabilitation. He is certified in Myofascial Decompression (MFDc), utilizing cup therapy combined with exercise-based movement science principles to increase motion through myofascial mobility and neuromuscular re-education.

Passionate about mentorship and continuous learning, Dr. Justine frequently attends seminars and courses to learn evidence-based treatment options that can bring excellent results to his patients. He plans to pursue becoming an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) to expand his orthopedic expertise.

In his free time, Justine enjoys spending time with his wife Paula and their two cats, Murphy (a hairless Sphynx) and Monty (a Tabby). Having recently moved from San Francisco to Southern California, he loves exploring Orange County and discovering new restaurants. He also enjoys visiting beautiful beaches in OC, playing the guitar, singing, going to the gym, and attending church.
