Cydney Cady

Physical Therapy Assistant

Cydney is a Southern California native who grew up participating in competitive cheerleading, dance, and gymnastics. She first became interested in physical therapy after dealing with multiple injuries of her own and dreamed of becoming a healthcare professional specializing in female-dominant sports.

Cydney attended Mater Dei High School, where she competed on the varsity cheerleading team and helped bring home two national championships. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from the University of Alabama, where she was a member of the Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority. She also completed a physical therapy internship in Thailand, spending a summer working with Thai national athletes. After graduating college, she returned home and began working as a PT Aide for OC Sports & Rehab in 2018.

In 2020, Cydney went back to school to obtain her Physical Therapist Assistant’s license from Cerritos College. While in school, she completed a clinical rotation at Rancho Los Amigos Rehab Hospital, working with patients who had sustained neurological injuries such as strokes, spinal cord injuries, and brain injuries. She also had the unique opportunity to work on the post-COVID rehab team during her time there.

In the future, Cydney hopes to specialize in treating young athletes in sports like those she grew up in, helping them rehab from their injuries and get back to doing what they love. As a newly licensed PTA, Cydney looks forward to participating in continuing education courses to learn new techniques and skills to help patients from all walks of life. In her free time, she enjoys trying out new recipes in the kitchen, hiking, traveling, and spending time with her siblings on the weekends. Cydney currently serves as both the practice manager and a licensed PTA, enjoying the opportunity to do both roles on any given day.
