Dr. Costa holds several advanced degrees including his Doctorate of Physical Therapy and Master’s in Education. His emphasis in school was orthopedics, lymphedema, and manipulation. His undergrad degree is in Biology, and he obtained his Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees from Western Oregon University. While at WOU he ran track and cross country, achieving academic and athletic all-conference status. Dr. Costa has taught biology, and coached track and cross-country at Capo Valley High School, Dana Hills High School, and with Mission Viejo High School’s running program. He was added in 2012 as an adjunct professor at Concordia University in their athletic training department. Dr. Costa is also a clinical instructor for Physical Therapy and Physical Therapy Assistant students. Dr. Costa uses many manual therapy techniques and modalities, to make sure your therapy session is one that achieves the highest potential. He integrates state of the art modalities into his treatments, including the Deep Muscle Stimulation (percussion adhesion release), myofascial release, manual lymphatic drainage, TMJ intra-oral pterygoid treatment, therapeutic cold LASER, electrical stimulation TENS/EMS, ART, custom orthotics, lymphatic compression pump therapy, athlete recovery system, video feedback gait analysis, and a FULL RETURN Sports program, integrating a full weight and gym transition back to sport ready. Dr. Costa has multiple publications and presentations, including at the national college of phlebologists. For his cutting-edge research on lymphedema therapy and new treatment protocols, with Mission Hospital Cardiac and Vein Group. He was also recognized for his outstanding treatment of TMJ patients, and he is currently working on publishing new protocols to help patients with plantar fasciitis and neuropathy. She first became interested in physical therapy after dealing with multiple injuries of her own and dreamed of becoming a healthcare professional specializing in female-dominant sports.</p><p>Cydney attended Mater Dei High School, where she competed on the varsity cheerleading team and helped bring home two national championships. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from the University of Alabama, where she was a member of the Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority. She also completed a physical therapy internship in Thailand, spending a summer working with Thai national athletes. After graduating college, she returned home and began working as a PT Aide for OC Sports & Rehab in 2018.</p><p>In 2020, Cydney went back to school to obtain her Physical Therapist Assistant’s license from Cerritos College. While in school, she completed a clinical rotation at Rancho Los Amigos Rehab Hospital, working with patients who had sustained neurological injuries such as strokes, spinal cord injuries, and brain injuries. She also had the unique opportunity to work on the post-COVID rehab team during her time there.</p><p>In the future, Cydney hopes to specialize in treating young athletes in sports like those she grew up in, helping them rehab from their injuries and get back to doing what they love. As a newly licensed PTA, Cydney looks forward to participating in continuing education courses to learn new techniques and skills to help patients from all walks of life. In her free time, she enjoys trying out new recipes in the kitchen, hiking, traveling, and spending time with her siblings on the weekends. He attended undergraduate at the University of California, Irvine with a major in biology. There is where Dennis found his passion for physical therapy after watching a clip about a college football player recovering from a severe neck injury. Following his undergraduate education, he attended Chapman University to obtain his Doctorate in Physical therapy. Dennis incorporates a variety of manual therapy techniques in order to obtain the best results for his patients. These skill include joint mobilizations, soft tissue mobilizations, use of deep muscle stimulators, PNF patterns with manual resistance, active release therapy, taping, and high-velocity low amplitude thrust. However Dennis is continuously learning new techniques in order to broaden his treatment and get the best results for his patients. He has even attended courses such as a spinal manipulation course taught by the Institute of Clinical Excellence. At an early age Dino realized he wanted to work in a medical field in any way that would help those in need. After having multiple surgeries from playing sports and spending time in physical therapy himself he found his passion and ultimate goal of working in physical therapy. In addition to getting his BA in Kinesiology from Whittier College, CA, he got his Physical Therapist Assistant degree from Stanbridge University, CA. Between his undergraduate degree and Physical Therapy Assistants degree, Dino worked as a nationally licensed EMT. His passion for helping others has aided him in succeeding with patient care utilizing the understanding that bed side manner and a positive attitude is key in helping all patients achieve their best results. Jada attended California State University, Bakersfield, where she received her bachelor's degree in Kinesiology and played Division 1 water polo. She then graduated from Stanbridge University with a PTA degree.</p><p>Before joining the OCSR team, Jada worked at a pediatric clinic for three years, where she was part of the Intensive Therapy team. She enjoys working with young athletes and clients with special needs. She is passionate about soccer, basketball, volleyball, and football. Prior to his career in physical therapy, Justin was a Hip-Hop dancer who performed in Disneyland parades and coached at Tustin High School for their competitive dance team. Throughout his years as a dance teacher, Justin found greater fulfillment in helping his students develop their skills and overcome their individual roadblocks than in pursuing his professional dance career. This realization made Justin aspire to transfer his teaching skills and knowledge of body movement into the field of physical therapy, where he could help dancers and people from all walks of life.</p><p>Justin specializes in hands-on manual therapy and is also a certified Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM) provider. He prides himself on being invested in each patient as an individual and adjusting his treatment and temperament to their specific needs. He completed his B.S. in Physical Therapy from the Far Eastern University – Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation, Philippines. He has been a licensed Physical Therapist since 2017.</p><p>Dr. Justine enjoys treating orthopedic and sports injuries and is passionate about helping people get active. He strives to practice holistic patient care, utilizing manual therapy techniques along with exercises to improve patient health and well-being. His treatments include deep muscle stimulator (DMS), active release technique (ART), soft tissue mobilizations, joint mobilizations, electrical stimulation, Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF), TMJ intra-oral treatment, Kinesio (KT) taping, manual lymphatic drainage (MLD), and lymphatic compression pump therapy. He also uses video feedback gait analysis to assess runners and provide appropriate programs for them.</p><p>Dr. Justine ensures the implementation of personalized exercise programs for each patient, including those recovering from sports-related injuries, and guides patients through post-surgical rehabilitation. He is certified in Myofascial Decompression (MFDc), utilizing cup therapy combined with exercise-based movement science principles to increase motion through myofascial mobility and neuromuscular re-education.</p><p>Passionate about mentorship and continuous learning, Dr. Justine frequently attends seminars and courses to learn evidence-based treatment options that can bring excellent results to his patients. He plans to pursue becoming an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) to expand his orthopedic expertise.</p><p>In his free time, Justine enjoys spending time with his wife Paula and their two cats, Murphy (a hairless Sphynx) and Monty (a Tabby). Having recently moved from San Francisco to Southern California, he loves exploring Orange County and discovering new restaurants. He attended undergraduate school at the University of San Francisco, where he received a B.S. in Exercise and Sport Science. While there, he was a member of the NCAA Division I Men’s Soccer Team, earning All-Academic honors all four years of his student-athlete career. He attended graduate school at Chapman University in Orange, CA, where he received a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree, graduating at the top of his class with awards in Academic Excellence and Excellence in Research.</p><p>Tanner is trained in injury prevention and recovery, working with athletes of all levels, from recreational to professional. He assists them in overcoming injuries and maximizing athletic outcomes, particularly in golf, running, soccer, and overhead throwing. He is a certified Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM) provider, utilizing various manual therapy techniques to improve soft-tissue mobility and joint range of motion to prevent injury and ensure full recovery following an injury. He is also a Certified Clinical Instructor (CCI) for doctorate students on clinical rotations completing their DPT degree.</p><p>Tanner combines his athletic, academic, and clinical experience to provide knowledgeable and patient-centered care. His goal is to help you return to the activities you love at the highest level possible. His experience has primarily been in the outpatient orthopedic setting.</p><p>Growing up, sports had a significant impact on Vishal's life. After experiencing sports-related injuries, he decided he wanted to be a PTA and be part of the rehabilitation process, helping patients through their injuries as his therapists did for him. She received her undergraduate degree from Southern Utah University with a major in Nutrition. Whitney then went on to receive her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences.</p><p>Whitney's passion for physical therapy began at a young age after watching her family members go through rehab and seeing the significant impact it had on their return to maximal function.
